He is Mr. Hu Qingpeng, the general manager of Kaiyuan Geesung Abrasives Co., Ltd. Recently, we had the privilege of interviewing and listening to Mr. Hu as he shared his industry experience, his path to technological development, and his unique insights into the current state and future development of the industry.

Reporter: Mr. Hu, thank you for taking the time out of your busy schedule to talk to us. We know that you have been intensively involved in the materials industry since graduating. Firstly, could you tell us how you got into this industry and what experiences have you had over the years?

Hu Qingpeng: Thank you for your attention. In fact, since graduating from the Material Engineering Technology program at Henan University of Technology in 2009, I have developed an inextricable bond with the materials field. My career began with basic studies and research in materials science, which formed a solid foundation for my later entry into the abrasive industry. In the first days after graduating, I worked in several material-related companies, gained extensive practical experience, and gradually mastered the research and application of materials. In 2014, I moved to Kaiyuan Geesung Abrasives Co., Ltd., where I assumed full responsibility for the company's technical research and development, production management and market development as technical director and later general manager. In this process, I actively promoted technological innovation, improved product quality and successfully expanded the company's market share, thereby building a good reputation in the industry. After several years of effort, our company has gradually developed into one of the leading companies in the field of household abrasives.

Reporter: We assume that you have achieved significant success in technology research and development. Could you elaborate on your work in technical leadership and innovation?

Hu Qingpeng: In terms of technical leadership and innovation, I lead the team in continually researching and introducing the latest abrasive technologies and materials to ensure our products meet the needs of industries such as aerospace and shipbuilding. We strive to improve the dimensional accuracy and surface quality of our products to meet industry standards. At the same time, we also develop new materials, such as composite grinding wheels, to improve the durability and efficiency of our products and reduce environmental impact. We maintain cooperation with universities and research institutions and regularly conduct technical exchanges to ensure that our research and development direction is in line with industry trends. In addition, we focus on fostering a sense of innovation within the team and encouraging each member to contribute creative ideas and suggestions to create a good research and development atmosphere. These efforts have allowed us to gradually improve our technical level and provide our customers with better products and services.

Reporter: In the current fierce market competition, improving production efficiency and the level of automation is also particularly important. What specific measures have you taken to achieve these goals? What significant changes have these measures brought about for the company?

Hu Qingpeng: We have taken a number of innovative measures with regard to production efficiency and automation. First, we developed the “Cloud-based intelligent grinding parameter optimization system”, which uses cloud computing technology and artificial intelligence algorithms to optimize important parameters in the grinding process. This system not only improves grinding efficiency and reduces material loss, but also ensures the stability of machining quality. With this system, we can automatically recommend the optimal grinding speed, pressure and path based on various material properties, thereby significantly increasing production efficiency.

In addition, we developed the “Material Removal Rate Prediction and Control System for Grinding Processes Using Big Data Analytics”. This system collects real-time data during the grinding process and combines it with big data analytics to accurately predict material removal rate and dynamically adjust grinding parameters through intelligent control algorithms. The use of this system not only improves the precision and efficiency of the grinding process, but also reduces production costs and increases the stability of product quality.

These measures have brought about significant changes for the company. Our production consistency and efficiency have significantly improved, and increasing automation has reduced human errors and made our product quality more reliable. The use of these technologies has also laid a solid foundation for our transformation towards intelligent manufacturing and Industry 4.0.

Reporter: In the area of ​​intelligent control, you also developed the “Grinding Automation and Intelligent Control System for Industry 4.0”. Can you tell us how this system helped the company in industrial modernization?

Hu Qingpeng: The “Grinding Automation and Intelligent Control System for Industry 4.0” is crucial to our industrial modernization. This system achieves precise control and optimization of the grinding process by integrating sensors, automated devices and intelligent algorithms. It not only automatically adjusts grinding parameters, but also predicts equipment status and production trends through real-time data analysis and machine learning technology, detecting and solving problems in advance.

The use of this intelligent control system has significantly improved the flexibility and reliability of our production lines and reduced uncertainty in the production process. It ensures the continuity and efficiency of the production process through remote monitoring and adaptive adjustments. In addition, the system helps us better adapt to changes in market demand, respond quickly to customer orders and increase customer satisfaction. By implementing this system, our company has not only improved production efficiency, but also achieved optimal resource allocation as well as energy saving and emission reduction, which is an important step in industrial modernization. Hu Qingpeng: We believe that environmental protection is an essential part of company development. During product research, development and production, we always pay attention to the environmental friendliness and sustainability of the materials. Our environmentally friendly composite grinding wheels, for example, were developed under this philosophy, which not only improve the durability and efficiency of the products, but also reduce environmental impact. In addition, we have used energy-saving equipment and clean production technologies in our production process to reduce resource consumption and waste emissions. Through these measures, we hope not only to meet market demand, but also to contribute to the sustainable development of society and the environment.
