The British drivers George Russell, Lewis Hamilton and Lando Norris will duel for victory in the British Grand Prix on Sunday. This is a race you should not miss and it will be broadcast live on Sky Sports F1 and Sky Showcase at 3pm.
At the British GP in Silverstone, where the 58th F1 race will take place on Sunday, the first three starting positions were awarded to the local heroes for the first time.
Russell, winner of the Austrian GP, is ahead of Hamilton, the eight-time British GP winner, in the all-Mercedes starting row, with Lando Norris of McLaren close behind in third place.
With world champion Max Verstappen lurking close behind his three British rivals in fourth place after securing a second row position with a damaged car, he faces a thrilling 52-lap race on one of F1's fastest and most historic circuits.
Oh, and there’s also the possibility of more rain and unpredictable conditions!
You don’t want to miss any of the action and can Watch the race from Silverstone for free on Sky Showcase if you have a Sky box and on Sky Sports F1.
McLaren has not won the British Grand Prix since Hamilton's memorable wet victory in 2008, but Norris will be desperate to respond after numerous near-wins in recent events. While Russell ended Mercedes' 18-month win drought in Austria last week, Hamilton has not won in F1 since December 2021.
Norris is 81 points behind Verstappen in the drivers' standings and needs to close the gap to have a realistic chance of challenging for the title later this year.
