As part of EveLab's commitment to building science-driven AI, the team released the preliminary results of a groundbreaking study that revealed new insights into skin aging patterns at the 2023 International Societies of Investigative Dermatology (ISID) meeting in Japan. By analyzing the skin condition of over 430,000 participants from different regions and ethnicities, the study showed that smile-related wrinkles such as crow's feet and nasolabial folds tend to increase as early as age 23 to 24 and stabilize in the early 50s, while anger- and sadness-related wrinkles such as marionette lines and frown lines typically appear around age 30 and peak in the late 50s plateau. These results are the result of a collaborative effort led by the Joint Laboratory for Skin Analysis & Digital Standardization (Lab-SADS) and based on EveLab Insight's AI-driven skin analysis platform.
